Listed here are a few areas of photography to consider when planning your day.
Some couples like the option of a portrait mounted in a frame at the entrance to the reception where guests can sign in the border around the print with a permanent pen. The glass is then mounted and sealed ready for your return from honeymoon.
We find it very helpful to photograph the bride and her family prior to the arrival at the ceremony. It generally only takes 10-15 minutes and provides a relaxed atmosphere prior to the arrival at the ceremony. Obviously, we can spend longer photographing the preparation if required and include preparations as fits best.
Photographs of the Groom, his family and the Best Man prior to the ceremony are also worthwhile for capturing part of the build-up.
Special requests and general atmosphere shots.
Photography will to a major extent be controlled by the venue. Please note that every registrar and minister has slightly different views on what is acceptable, we work to their guidance. Our photography will not be intrusive and flash photography will only be used when permitted.
Most couples expect a number of formal photographs even if their own preference is for reportage style atmosphere. We balance the images to each individual wedding.
Even at and during “formal” weddings we normally find time to capture atmosphere shots as you enjoy your day, we play the fly on the wall and remain discreet.
Informal images as you greet your guests into the wedding breakfast can be fun.
Photographs of each table make sure that all guests are remembered.
Non-intrusive photography during the speeches to let the speaker relax (As best they can) yet makes sure that we see some laughter and emotion.
This is not always a conventional cake these days so some adaptation can be required.
After the speeches couples are at their most relaxed and also enjoy 15 minutes away from the crowd allowing us to take the most romantic shots of the day. A little privacy, a time to chat alone produces the most intimate images for you to treasure.
Your first dance and more if requested. Time is not our major concern as we commit ourselves to your day and producing the most exciting memories possible.
